The idea behind the space Amber and myself (Amy-Beth) created was based on the idea of 2D pieces interacting in a 3D environment. We installed primarily figure paintings and portrait photographs minding the question, "what or where is this person looking at?" Installing a painting, photograph, drawing or even postcard in response, the goal was for the viewer to answer that question through our "curatorial manipulation."
